Gage Academy of Art

Gage Academy Financial Aid

At Gage Academy of Art, we believe that artists are made and not born. For this very reason, it is our mission to support all artists-in-the-making through opportunities for financial assistance.

Gage raises and allocates funds to create opportunities for adults, teens, and youth to pursue their dream of becoming an artist and cultivating their artistic growth.

Gage Tuition Assistance and Scholarship Programs embody the school’s commitment to make art and art-making accessible to everyone. Each year, Gage dedicates financial resources to make it possible for students who otherwise could not afford to participate to take our classes and workshops.

There are 2 ways to receive financial support:

  1. Tuition Assistance, which is need-based;
  2. Donor Scholarships, which are merit and/or need-based with a competitive application process.

Tuition Assistance (Adult & Youth)

Gage Academy of Art offers need-based Tuition Assistance to all Gage students who qualify. The program takes financial need and personal circumstance into account. Accepted students will receive a percentage reduction on tuition and will be free to apply that discount to a class of their choice. We have two separate applications, one for youth and one for adult students.

Donor Scholarships (Adult)

Gage's Donor-supported Scholarships embody the school's mission to educate, enrich, and engage the community by providing access to art education for any student who wishes to begin or pursue their artistic practice. Our donor-supported scholarships are made possible only through the generosity of individual donors in our community. The donor-supported scholarship applications are carefully reviewed and granted annually by a panel of local and national art peers.

Youth Scholarships

As a non-profit arts organization, Gage Academy of Art intends to serve all motivated students who desire to receive an arts education. We offer full scholarships to students who show financial need. Gage Academy of Art admits students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at Gage. These scholarships are intended for Youth Programs.
